Home is where the heart is. It’s where we retreat at the end of a busy day, where we are restored, and also where we bring our friends and family together to share a meal and make memories. Steve & Melissa
Meet Steve
BILTBOLD was founded by Stephen Fleming. Stephen’s first memories are of accompanying his father to a construction site – climbing around the dirt piles and sitting in the equipment. Those moments spurred a lifelong journey to learn as much as he could about construction.
Steve began working in the home building and civil engineering industries while pursuing his degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology at Penn State University, and shortly after obtaining his real estate and brokers licenses. He went on to work in the civil engineering profession, spending 15 years working on private development projects and as a Township Engineer. These invaluable opportunities gave him hands on experience in development design and home building.
The years spent working these parallel career paths helped to fuel his passion for superior design in building, and ultimately creating the Biltbold brand. It is his belief that the right balance of material selection, construction technique, and technology make for a timeless home for your family.
Meet Melissa
Melissa is an abstract artist and entrepreneur at heart. With a background in fine art and photography, she has an eye for how to create a space that feels just right.
As our design and project manager, using her design aesthetic and focusing on the fine details has been instrumental in developing the vision and functionality of Biltbold homes. For our custom home clients, she is their guide, their facilitator, and their peace of mind during the building process.
